We miss you

GRANDMA
It was dark and painful,
Suffering in silence.
She closed her eyes;
For cancer, it’s violence.
She lost her breast,
With spirits of gold.
She did what they said,
Did as she was told.
Vibrant and hopeful,
Never did she shy.
Always with faith,
A year gone by.
The cancer unfolds,
A monster inside.
Her spirit sinking,
Their hands tied.
We watched her suffer,
We felt her pain.
We wished she’s hurry,
And go home again.
Her eyes stayed closed,
But her body lingered on.
We cried cuz she couldn’t,
And the Lord we prayed upon.
Three weeks she waited,
In a bed, she didn’t move.
Twenty one days she lived,
Until all did approve.
We begged her to let go,
To let angels guide;
And when we were sleeping,
That’s when she died.
