You build me to tear me down.
You tell me how I don’t care.
You accuse me of trivial things,
And maim the truths I share.
You believe only what you choose.
You stare me down until I fall,
But you cannot create more anger,
For in my heart I hold it all.
You no longer have the power,
To demand an explanation.
You no longer have the right,
To expect loves reservation.
I am done listening to the accusations.
I am done being the blame.
I am done having to always worry.
I am done feeding your flame.
I am now demanding my freedom,
For you've sucked the life from me.
I long ago shrouded my soul,
To protect its immortality.
